Organized by the Spanish Ambassador in Lebanon Milagros Hernando, Ms. Majida Roumi was honored and imitated the Medal of Civil Merit of Komndor rank, granted by the Spanish King Juan Carlos, at the Shahab Palace in Hadath.
The celebration was attended by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, represented by MP Emile Rahme, Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri, represented by Minister of Culture Ghattas Khoury, Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani, Apostolic Nuncio Gabriel Kacha, the ambassadors of Arab and foreign, MP Alain Aoun, the former minister Ziad Baroud, Director General of the Ministry of Information, Dr. Hassan Field Crops, director of the national News Agency Ms. Laure Sleiman Saab, director of the Information Office of the presidency of the Republic Rafiq Shalala


At first, the Ambassador of Spain gave the word, which stated: I have the honor today to imitate Ms. Majida Roumi with the Medal of Civil Merit of Komndor rank, given by King Philip VI.
With this medal who joins a lot of other medals grated for Ms. Al Roumi, we appreciate the truth that Ms. Majida give using her voice, mission or the positions in the society and life as whole. She has the same values that we have in the Spanish society of peace, love, passion for challenge and the respect and appreciation of woman in front of her obligations, in addition to poetry and culture appreciation, which reflect the image of our society.
Yesterday was the “International Women’s Day,” and it would be well today with yout, congratulations for the medal. The Kingdom of Spain is proud of you and appreciates the feeling of responsibility, which is increasing day after day
In turn, Ms. Al Roumi said: with overwhelming joy and a great honor, I’ve been honored the Royal Medal, which was given by the Kingdom of Spain. . I admit you very that I’m influenced by this medal, which reinforces my belief that the music does not have limits, and that it skips barriers, and mimic the thirst to love and peace
Aside of the song’s language, the music is a universal language, penetrates the soul and transcends all differences and contrast. It is the language of creating humanitarian ties between the nations. Each song erase the ugliness in this world, and remove evils.
